Meet Your Instructors
Sally Todd
Teaches Absolute Beginners Class
Hi! I’m Sally, and I’m 77 years old. I’ve been line dancing for 4 1/2 years.
I retired at 73 at the beginning of Covid. I found line dancing, which was something we could do because we could be spaced out. I loved it!
5 months ago, we started an Absolute Beginners class, and I became a teacher, along with Ginger. With Cheryl’s guidance, Ginger and I have created a growing group of women who want to socialize, get some exercise, and learn the basic line dance steps.
I’d love to meet you and have you join our class!

Hi, I’m Cheryl! I’ve been involved in the line dancing community, both dancing and instructing, for over 30 years. Some people may remember me teaching at Doyle’s Circle K/Cactus Rose for many years in the 1990s.
After Cactus Rose closed in 1999, I took a lengthy hiatus from instructing, but never quit dancing or attending dance conventions and workshops. Dancing is a large part of my life for so many reasons. I have so much fun dancing with old friends and meeting new ones. My dance community has been there for me when I needed them most. I kept up on new dances to challenge my brain and my body.
Unbeknown to me, all these things brought me back to teaching again. Our dance community lost our wonderful dance instructor this year. At 78 years young, I never expected to be a teacher again, but my dance friends convinced me to give it a try. In March this year, I took the plunge again. I found that I still love to teach and love to show my dance friends that age, talent, knowledge, or ability does not need to be a deterrent.
If there is a way and the will to try, I will do my best to help you. And I can guarantee we will have FUN trying. I hope you will come join Sally, Ginger, and me at one of our classes.
My 80 milestone birthday is coming up next year and my goal is to celebrate my 90th birthday on the dance floor doing the latest line dance with my friends!

And I’m Ginger! I’m 75 years old. After 16 years in medicine and 30 years running heavy equipment on the farm, I was on the treadmill one night and as I got off it, said to my husband, “I don’t like this and I’m not going to do it anymore.”
So at 64, I took up tap dancing and I still do that every week. I also became a Zumba instructor and started line dancing. And I’ve met life-long friends along the way!
5 months ago, Cheryl, Sally and I became a team to keep our line dance family together. We hope you can join us!
